I I. ARDEtl.WL.LS CITY COUNCIL - APRIL 24 1994 7 I Mayor Probst congratulated Mr. Post for his contribution in representing the City regarding Water Utilities, the City's decision was upheld. I Mayor Probst announced the League of Minnesota Cities' Conference and encouraged other Councilmembers to attend. He is planning on attending and believed it would be an opportunity to I meet and work with cities in the northern metro area. Mayor Probst noted Northwest Youth and Family Services has a program on May 2, 1995 and has I invited area Mayors and County Commissioners. If anyone is interested, please attend. Mayor Probst updated the Council regarding the recent TCAAP meeting. He believes after safety I issues are addressed there will be 30% to 40% of the property available as excess. He noted this will impact the City's reuse plan. I Mayor Probst indicated there are rumors regarding a Casino on the property and he wished to clarifY for the record, the City of Arden Hills has no information regarding this. There has been no proposal I for a Casino brought to the City, no property has been bought and no new construction has begun. Mayor Probst indicated the City's intent is to have our Planning Team establish a Comprehensive .. Plan that is in the best interest of Arden Hills. Mayor Probst indicated he is confident in 45-60 days the City will be leading the process and I providing its plan to the Reutilization Committee. He noted the City is vigilant at doing what is best for the community.
