I
I CITY OF ARDEN ffiLLS
I-
MEMORANDUM
I DATE: May 3, 1995
I TO: Mayor and City Council
Brian Fritsinger, City Administrato<@
FROM:
I
SUBJECT: Presentation From Horn Oak And Leather
I The Council may recall that several months ago, Horn Oak and Leather made contact with
the City about the possible construction of a new building in the Gateway Business District,
I (GBD). At that time, Staff was directed to continue its negotiations with Everest
Development.
I ,
Staff encouraged the Company to contact Everest to determine if the development proposal
could be incorporated into the overall business campus being proposed by Everest. Horn
Ie Oak and Leather has been unsuccessful in its attempts to meet with Everest and discuss this
in more depth. At this time, Staffhas not yet received a response from Everest on the latest
discussions. However, I expect to have this information prior to Monday's meeting.
I Representatives from Horn Oak and Leather have formally requested an opportunity to make
a presentation to the Council in regards to its development proposal. They do not expect the
I Council to take any formal action on their concept. However, they would like the Council
to keep their proposal in mind as the City proceeds with the development of the GBD and
provide any preliminary feedback it may have as to the likelihood of the proposal fitting into
I the overall vision for this site.
I
I
I
~.
I
I
