WLLS CIJY COUNCIL - MAY 30, 1995 .- 5 Mr, Fritsinger indicated there will be an Open House on Thursday June I, 1995 at the Army Reserve I from 6 p.m. to 9 p,m, for information and public comments. The Council should also plan on the June 8 Visioning Workshop at the Army Reserve. . Mr. Fritsinger indicated the City is in the process of attempting to obtain help through grants, The City will continue to apply for additional funding, I Mayor Probst indicated the Reutilization Committee continues to meet and Arden Hills will be able to make a pro-active stand on all issues, The Committee is looking for closure by October. I Mayor Probst expressed concem for notification of the Open House on Thursday, He hoped residents would get the information and attend the Meeting. I Mayor Probst indicated there are several outstanding issues still to address, such as Alliant Techsystems and their intentions, I Mr, Fritsinger indicated the Open House was posted in the Bulletin. and Pioneer Press, on cable and posted various places within the City, I~ Mr, Fritsinger requested to move to item 7,f on the agenda, I Arden Manor Water Connection Request City Administrator Fritsinger indicated on May 22, 1995, staff met with Steve Maki, Chief Civil I Engineer for Federal Cartridge Company (FCC) to discuss the possible connection of Arden Manor Mobile Home Park to municipal water, An agreement is pending between FCC and Arden Manor where FCC will pay for the hook-up to municipal water and abandonment of existing wells. I Mr, Fritsinger noted FCC has approached the City to determine whether or not this connection is I feasible, and if so, would the City consider administering the contract. FCC will pay for all costs associated with the preparation of plans and specifications, construction and connection fees. The project is being funded under an Army/FCC/Arden Manor agreement, therefore, there will be no I assessments required as part of this project. Mayor Probst e,xpressed support for the agreement. Councilmember Malone concurred, I Councilmember Malone inquired as to where the City's responsibility ends, Mr. Fritsinger indicated there had been various discussions regarding the water pressure difference and through these I discussions they indicated it would not be the City's responsibility to maintain the system, Mr, Stonehouse indicated there would be a Pressure Reducing Valve at the connection, with .e recommendation that the location of the connection be at the Club House, I
