I Ie June 9, 1995 I Mayor Dennis Probst I Members of the City Council City of Arden Hills 1450 West Highway 96 I Arden Hills, Minnesota 55112 Dear Mayor and Council: I The Lametti Homeowners Association is an organization of residents who live on Lametti Lane and Lametti Circle on the east end of Lake Johanna. Earlier this spring the I residents on Lametti Circle(a short 180 foot cui de sac abutting the one block long Lametti Lane) received notice from the city of its intent to do an overlay of the street this summer as part of the 1995 pavement management program. At our annual Association meeting I in late April, questions and concerns were raised regarding the appropriateness of doing the overlay of Lametti Lane and Circle as separate projects. While we are supportive of the city's pavement management initiative, and believe that an overlay of the two streets I makes sense in the next 1-2 years, we believe that for both cost efficiency and aesthetic reasons it makes sense to do the eventual overlay as a joint project. I- After discussions with the City Administrator and Consulting Engineer, the members of the Lametti Homeowners Association request that the Mayor and Council remove the I overlay of Lametti Circle from the 1995 street maintenance program. This action would enable a more coordinated approach to doing the street overlay of our neighborhood. In addition, it would allow the city to conduct its planned fall re-rating of Arden Hills streets I prior to making a final determination regarding the timing of the eventual overlay of Lametti Lane and Circle. The Consulting Engineer has indicated that a one year delay in overlaying Lametti Circle will not affect the long term condition of the cui de sac. I Thank you for your consideration of our request.
