ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL - JUL Y 31,1995 5 <br />I Mayor Probst indicated there are several options the Council could choose: I) approve assessment <br /> roll with no change; 2) correct assessment with comer lot formula; or 3) table the item. <br />I Councilmember Aplikowski indicated she felt uncomfortable with making a decision at this point. <br />I MOTION: Aplikowski moved and Keim seconded a motion to table the adoption of Resolution <br /> 95-57 until August 14, 1995 and direct staff to review options for the assessment roll. <br />I Councilmember Keim inquired as to the information Council wishes to have staff obtain. <br /> Councilmember Aplikowski indicated she wished for staff to review configurations of formulas <br />I available and establish what may be the best way in which to assess this unique development. <br /> Councilmember Aplikowski indicated it is not just the money issue, but there will be a precedent <br /> established. <br />I Motion carried (2-1, with Councilmember Keirn opposed). <br />. Mayor Probst indicated this would be a continued item and there will be no additional publication <br /> of the Public Hearing. <br />.e Mr. Getty inquired as to when the 30 day period for appeals would begin. Mr. Filla indicated the <br /> written objection would need to be presented to the City prior to the close of the Public Hearing and <br />I then the resident would have 30 days from the time of the adoption of the Assessment Roll by the <br /> City Council. <br />I Mr. Harkness inquired if the letter sent to the City would be a formal objection. Mr. Fritsinger <br /> indicated typically each homeowner would need to formally object. <br />. Mr. Filla after reviewing the letter of July II, 1995, indicated this would not be a formal objection. <br /> Mr. Porter inquired if there is a way to preserve the options of appeals by continuing the Public <br />. Hearing. Mr. Filla indicated if the City Council made a motion, this would be possible. <br /> MOTION: Aplikowski moved and Keim seconded a motion to reopen the Public Hearing for <br />I 1995 Street Maintenance Improvement Project. Motion carried unanimously (3-0). <br /> Mr. Fritsinger asked if the letters of objection need to be filed before the close of the Public Hearing. <br />I Mr. Filla indicated that was correct and any objections must be made in writing to the City prior to <br /> the close of the Public Hearing. <br />. MOTION: Keirn moved and Aplikowski seconded a motion to continue the Public Hearing on <br />.e 1995 Street Maintenance Improvement Project to the August 14, 1995 Regular <br /> Council Meeting at 8:00 p.m. The motion carried unanimously (3-0). <br />I <br />
