CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> MEMORANDUM <br />. <br /> DATE: September 25, 1995 <br />I TO: Mayor and City Council <br />I FROM: Kevin Ringwald, Community Development Director V <br /> SUBJECT: Planning Cases 95-06 and 95-21 <br />I The following is a brief review of the requests and the recommendations ofthe Planning <br />I Commission. <br /> Case 95-06. Holiday Inn. 1201 West County Road E. Landscape Plan <br />I 1. Request <br /> The applicant is requesting approval ofa landscape plan for the Holiday Inn at 1201 West <br />I County Road E. <br />rI' 2. Background <br /> The applicant originally appeared before the Planning Commission on March 1,1995. At <br /> that meeting the Planning Commission recommended approval of exterior alterations to <br />I the building. The proposed alterations to the buildings exterior were principally cosmetic <br /> in nature. Therefore, the enhancements to the landscaping are not a requirement of the <br /> City Code, but yet require City approval. <br /> - <br />I 3. Planning Commission Recommendation <br /> The Planning Commission recommends approval of Planning Case 95-06, Landscape <br />I Plan for the Holiday Inn, as submitted. <br /> Case 95-21. Sharon Laumeyer. 3540 New Bri~hton Road. SUP-Home Occunation <br />I 1. Request <br /> The applicant is reql.resting approval of a Special Accessory Use Permit for a home <br />I occupation to opef<tte an antique store in the R-2 zoning district. <br /> 2. Background <br />I a. The antique shop will be open only upon request or no more than a couple of <br /> times per month_ The hours of operation will be limited to weekends during the <br />I summer months. The property is isolated from visual view of all neighboring <br /> residential properties. The nearest residential property is at least 350 feet from <br />Ie this property and no other residential property shares the roadway (Hudson <br /> Avenue) with the applicant. <br />I <br />
