Each of
these agencies has specific requirements for stormwater
design.
Dead Storaoe I
The MPCA requires on-site sedimentation of stormwater from ..
the site. The basin at the Southeast corner of the site
provides the required sedimentation. The basin is designed
to maximize the flow length of the stormwater in the sediment
basin. The sediment basin will retain water to an elevation I
of 877.5. The sediment basin will be constructed using a
combination of excavation and embankment.
Live Storace I
The Rice Creek Watershed requires that the runoff from the
site be less than the predeveloped runoff. This storage is I
provided by allowing the stormwater to overtop the riprap
overflow constructed on the North Side of the sediment basin,
The elevation of the riprap overflow is the same as the
proposed outlet pipe under County Road f2, and slopes down to I
the existing grade at this point (877.0). The area North of
the sediment basin is being used for ponding to increase the
volume, reduce the flood elevation and to introduce water I
into an area that has all the characteristics of a wetland
except hydrology. The 100 year flood elevation for the
ponding area is 878.4.
I
I
..
I
