<br /> I <br /> I. <br /> I - <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> I <br /> I CHARGE TO THE COMMITTEE ". <br /> The Arden Hills City Council authorized the organization of a Citizens Committee on January <br /> I 8, 1990, to study the feasibility of constructing a new City Hall facility and to make <br /> recommendations in response to issues which surfaced in relation to the facility. On January 22, <br /> 1990, the Council reaffIrmed this direction and appointed the committee which has developed the <br /> I recommendations contained herein. The study was to consist of reviewing existing facilities, <br /> identifying future needs of the '\;onununity and the potential for a conununity center facility to <br /> serve those needs, possible site locations, fInancing alternatives and architectural design concepts <br /> I within the range of its examination. <br /> OBJECTIVES <br /> I.... The primary objective of the study was to examine the viability of existing City Hall facilities <br /> 1-. and to offer a recDnunendation for appropriate future facilities. While each member of the <br /> committee certainly brought hislher own particular biases with regard to the existing facilities or <br /> the desirability of a new facility, there was no pre-conception of a fInal result for this effort <br /> I Among other objeetives to be examined were the following: <br /> I: 0 An evaluation of existing facilities <br /> - Condition <br /> Required/reconunended repairs. <br /> I: 0 An evaluation of current and future space needs <br /> Ii 0 Candidate sites for a new facility <br /> 0 Consideration fDr an Arden Hills Conununity Center <br /> I' 0 IdentifIcation of fInancing alternatives <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I'.
