That is why the goals are lon~ <br />I term in nature. The Metropolitan Council will propose affordable and life-cycle housing goals that - <br /> encourage your municipality to address key housing benchmarks. <br />I <br /> 16. After the Metropolitan Council and a municipality negotiate and set affordable and life- <br />I cycle housing goals for the municipality, what happens next? <br />I The municipality must prepare an action plan that describes how it intends to meet irs negotiated goals. <br /> The municipality has until June 30, 1996, to submir the acrion plan to the Metropolitan Council. <br />I 17. Does the Metropolitan Council have to approve the action plan? <br />. The Act does not require the Metropolitan Councii to approve a municipality's action plan.
