I -
I. 6. Hi!,!hwav 96. Improvement Project Discussion
Jim Tolaas, from Ramsey County, will be present to discuss with the
Council the preliminary work plan for Highway 96. Staff would
I encourage the Council to ask any funding related questions and press the -
County to place the Arden Hills segment as a priority area with special
I attention to the Round Lake intersection. The Council may want to
consider reminding the County of our need for assistance on the Round
Lake Traffic Study.
I 7. City Hall Improvements
The City Council is asked to consider approving several improvements at
I City Hall. The low bid for improvements to the front entry area was
$2100 by Pleasant View Homes, Inc. The low bid for re-carpeting in the
old section of the building was $6,263.75 by Floor Design. As these
I expenditures are non-budgeted items, the Council may wish to discuss a
one time transfer from the Community Services Fund to pay for these
improvements. To date, I have not yet had an opportunity to fully analyze
I the use of portable buildings or furniture for City Hall. I expect to present
this information at a future meeting.
I 8. TCAAP Update
The Ramsey County Board of Commissioners will be reviewing the
I~ recommendations of the Vento Reutilization Committee on Tuesday,
November 14, at 6:00 PM. I am attempting to rearrange my schedule to
attend.
I 2. Non-Agenda Items
a. Miscellaneous Arden Hills Related News Articles
I A variety of articles are enclosed for Council review.
b. TCAAP Modified Caretakers Contract
I City Staff has prepared and submitted a proposal to Alliant Techsystems to
provide maintenance service of the water treatment plant and maintenance of the
water distribution and sanitary sewer systems for TCAAP. This proposal would
I be part of the Modified Caretaker Contract which Staff discussed with the City
Council several months ago. The proposal is to provide serves for one year only.
I Should the proposal be accepted by Alliant, the work will begin in December I,
1995. I would expect to present this to the Council formally on November 27,
1996, if accepted by Alliant.
I
I
I .
I
-----
