<br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />- MEMORANDUM <br />- DATE: November 21, 1995 <br /> TO: Mayor & Council <br /> Brian Fritsinger, City Administrator <br /> FROM: Terrance Post, City Accountant @ <br /> SUBJECT: 1996 Truth In Taxation Presentation Materials <br /> Council has scheduled a special meeting from 7:00 p.m. to 7:20 p.m. on Monday, November 27, <br /> 1995 to discuss the above subject. The purpose of the meeting is to review, comment on, and <br />- critique information that Staff intends to present at the Thursday, November 30, 1995 Truth in <br /> Taxation Public Hearing. This type of review process was utilized with success last November. <br />- <br />- General Background Information <br /> 1. Since the Preliminary Levy was approved by Council on August 28, 1995 (Resolution <br />- No. 95-61) staff has made adjustments to both the estimated 1995 and proposed 1996 <br />14 General Fund revenue and expenditures. 1995 estimated revenue has been increased to <br /> reflect very strong building pem1it activity. Likewise, proposed 1996 building permit <br /> revenue has been increased to largely offset the proposed increase in the 1996 Ramsey <br />I County Sheriff police protection contract. <br /> 2. The Ramsey County Property Records & Revenue Department has provided a truth in <br />I taxation overview packet to local jurisdictions. The packet is enclosed for your general <br /> information. <br />I 3. Notices of the Arden Hills Truth in Taxation Public Hearing will appear in the <br /> Wednesday, November 22, 1995 issue of Shoreview/Arden Hills Bulletin and the Friday, <br />1 November 24, 1995 issue of the Focus News. <br /> Specific Public Hearing MaterialslItems <br />I I.
