RAMSEY COUNTY <br /> I RESOLUTION NO. 95-79 - <br /> I A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING AND ENCOURAGING <br /> I THE REDEVELOPMENT OF TONY SCHMIDT PARK <br /> I WHEREAS, the Ramsey County Parks and Recreation Department has indicated that Tony <br /> Schmidt Park is on their redevelopment priority list; and <br /> I WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills continues to receive complaints and concerns regarding <br /> the current condition of Tony Schmidt Park; and <br /> I WHEREAS, the Arden Hills Parks & Recreation Committee has met with the Ramsey County <br /> Parks & Recreation Director and Commission Chair to discuss concerns the <br /> residents and staff have regarding the park and encouraged them to make the <br /> I redevelopment the top priority in the next budget process, which is in 1997; and <br /> I . WHEREAS, Ramsey County has maintained that Tony Schmidt Park has been among its <br /> priorities in past years, but unfortunately has not achieved a top priority to be <br /> funded; and <br /> I WHEREAS, The Arden Hills City Council is concerned that Tony Schmidt Park is in need of <br /> redevelopment while others in the Ramsey County Parks system have been <br /> I redeveloped; and <br /> WHEREAS, Ramsey County has indicated that the redevelopment will occur in phases and the <br /> I City of Arden Hills concludes that phase I should include the north portion of the <br /> park area on the hill, with trails connecting to the Arden Hills trail system and <br /> Phase II should include the beach area. <br /> I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Arden Hills City Council, fully supports <br /> I and encourages Ramsey County to redevelop Tony Schmidt Park beginning in 1997 with the <br /> additional phases to occur in 1998, if the entire project cannot be accomplished in one year. <br /> I PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> THIS 27TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1995. <br /> I DENNIS PROBST, MAYOR <br /> - ATTEST: <br /> I <br /> BRIAN FRITSlNGER, CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br /> I <br />
