The critical issues in the progress <br />t' of this schedule are the designation of Femwood Avenue as a MSAS and the scheduling of <br /> informational and public hearings. Based upon this schedule, it is anticipated that the construction <br /> would be complete by September 1996. <br />I Proj ect Task ~ <br />I Receive Feasibility Study, December 11, 1995 <br /> Order Public Hearing and Informational Meeting <br />I Designate Fernwood as MSAS Route December 26, 1995 <br />I Hold Informational Meetings January 9 and 16, 1996 <br /> Hold Public Hearing January 29, 1996 <br />I Order preparation of Plans and Specifications <br /> Approve Plans and Specifications. March 11, 1996 <br />I Order Project, and Advertise for Bids <br /> Order Assessment Hearing March 25, 1996 <br />-. Open Bids AprilS, 1996 <br />I City Council Receives Bids April 8, 1996 <br />I Hold Assessment Hearing April 29, 1996 <br /> Award Contract June 10, 1996 <br />I Begin Construction June, 1996 <br />I Complete Construction September 1996 <br />I This schedule includes a 30 day appeal period between the assessment hearing and contract award. <br /> This may be modified as required by the City Council. <br />I CONCLUSION <br />I Based upon the City's pavement management program, the streets outlined in this report have <br /> been selected for repair and maintenance with seal coating and bituminous overlayment in 1996. <br />-- In addition, the reconstruction of several streets has been included in this report. This report <br /> recommends that the City complete the seal coat projects with City funds as a routine maintenance <br /> procedure.
