All applicants, including persons currently employed by the City, that apply for a <br /> position where job duties include operating commercial motor vehiCles will be <br />I required to take a drug test pursuant to the federal regulations. - <br />I 3, DEFINITIONS <br /> 390.5 Accident <br /> (a) Except as provided in paragraph (2) of this definition, an occurrence involving a <br />I commercial motor vehicle operating on a public road which results in: <br /> (1) A fatality; <br />I (2) bodily injury to a person who, as a result of the injury, immediately <br /> receives medical treatment away from the scene of the accident; <br />I (3) one or more motor vehicles incurring disabling damage as a result of the <br /> accident, requiring the vehicle to be transported away from the scene of <br /> the accident by a tow truck or other vehicle. <br />I <br /> 382. Alcohol - the intoxicating agent in beverage alcohol, ethyl alcohol, or other low <br />I 107 molecular weight alcohols including methyl and isopropyl alcohol. <br />I- 382. Alcohol Concentration (or content) - the alcohol in a volume of breath <br /> 107 expressed in terms of grams of alcohol per 210 liters of breath as indicated by an <br /> evidential breath test under this policy and federal regulations. <br />I 382. Alcohol Use. the consumption of any beverage, mixture, or preparation, <br /> 107 including and medication, containing alcohol. <br />I Appointing Authority - the City Administrator or other City officer to whom the <br /> Administrator has delegated authority to appoint personnel. <br />I Subpart - <br /> 40.3 BAT (Breath Alcohol Technician) - an individual who instructs and assists <br />I individuals in the alcohol testing process and operates an Evidential Breath Test <br /> Device (EBT). <br />. 40.3 Chain or Custody - procedures to account for the integrity of each urine <br /> specimen by tracking its handling and storage from point of specimen collection <br />. to final disposition of the specimen. With respect to drug testing, these procedures <br /> shall require that an appropriate Drug Testing Custody Form be used from time of <br /> collection to receipt by the laboratory and that upon receipt by the laboratory an <br />I appropriate Laboratory Chain of Custody Form(s) account(s) for the sample or <br /> sample aliquots (split samples) within the laboratory. <br />I. 2 <br />I <br /> ... .. <br /> ~-~-- -~~-- <br />
