<br /> ----------- <br /> I <br /> Contractor will notify WCCO Radio and KSTP Radio by 6:00 a.m. to announce .. <br /> postponement and provide information in a substitute date. Generally, the I <br /> Contractor will perform the postponed collection on the Friday following the - <br /> scheduled collection day. <br /> 3. Collection I <br /> 3.1 Recyclable materials shall be prepared as follows: I <br /> Magazines. Newsprint. and non-f:lossy paper: Placed in paper bags or cardboard <br /> boxes. I <br /> ~: Lids removed, rinsed, and placed in paper bags or cardboard boxes. I <br /> Miscellaneous Metals: Placed in cardboard boxes not to exceed fifteen pounds <br /> (15 lbs.) In weight. . <br /> Cardboard and Box Boards: Bagged, boxed, or bundled no larger than three feet <br /> by three feet (3' x 3'). I <br /> Plastics:Caps removed, bottles rinsed and flattened and placed in paper bag or -. <br /> cardboxes. <br /> Aerosol Cans: Completely drained and places in paper bag or cardboard boxes. <br /> 3.2 All recyclable material placed for collection shall be owned by and the I <br /> responsibility of the occupants or residential properties until they are handled by <br /> the Contractor. Upon handling of the containers and recyclable materials by the I <br /> Contractor, the recyclable materials become the property and responsibility of the <br /> Contractor. <br /> 3.4 Recyclable materials deemed unacceptable by the Contractor according to the I <br /> preparation procedures in provision 3.1 shall be collected in the first occurrence . <br /> by the Contractor and a notice left with the occupant. The address and the reason <br /> shall be reported to the City the following day so the City can notify the resident <br /> of the proper sorting procedure. I <br /> Subsequent instances of unacceptable recyclable materials may be rejected; <br /> however, this shall be reported to the City and a notice left with the occupant I <br /> explaining why the materials were not picked up. <br /> 3.5 The Contractor's employees shall save for resident' reuse any containers marked . <br /> SAVE. These containers, once emptied, shall be returned to the curbside. Any <br /> spills will be cleaned up immediately by the Contractor. -I <br /> . <br /> -- ------ <br />
