AGENDA ITEM - 8D <br />'It <br />,-AI�EN HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: May 28, 2024 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br />FROM: Jessica Jagoe, Community Development Director <br />SUBJECT: Agreement for Professional Services for Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance <br />Revisions with HGKi. <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br />$80,000 (2024/2025) TBD General Fund <br />Council Should Consider <br />Motions to approve, table, or deny the following: <br />• Agreement for Professional Services to administer the zoning and subdivision ordinance <br />revisions between the City of Arden Hills and HGKi. <br />Discussion <br />The City of Arden Hills recently requested proposals for professional services to complete a <br />comprehensive update of the zoning and subdivision ordinances. The scope of services for <br />drafting of the code updates has been scheduled into two phases (i.e. minor and major updates) <br />with a tentative completion time of 18 months. The City received three proposals. Staff <br />interviewed all three consultant firms and unanimously felt that HGKi was the best candidate to <br />facilitate this project. The City Attorney has reviewed the contract agreement between the City <br />and HGKi and recommends approval as drafted. Once approved, staff will coordinate with <br />HGKi to schedule a project kickoff discussion with the City Council at the June 241h work <br />session meeting. <br />Budget Impact <br />The Council budgeted $80,000 to be split between 2024 and 2025 on this project. <br />Attachment <br />A.
