�HKGi <br />ATTACHMENTA <br />WORK PROGRAM <br />Phase 1: Project Kick Off and Understanding <br />5/24/2024 <br />Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance Revisions <br />City of Arden Hills <br />The Project Kick-off and Understanding phase of work is intended to provide a solid foundation for <br />the update process. Staff and the consultant team will confirm the project process, schedule, and <br />tasks, particularly focusing on ensuring the process will sufficiently engage stakeholders and <br />address those topics of highest priority for the City. Background information from the City and other <br />sources will be gathered and reviewed by the consultant team to identify goals, objectives, and/or <br />recommendations that are to be implemented through code regulations. <br />TASKS <br />Meet with Staff to: <br />o Finalize the project's scope, process, schedule <br />o Identify code shortcomings and gaps <br />o Discuss City policies, processes, or practices that are currently unwritten, but that <br />should be incorporated into the update process <br />o Confirm areas of recent code updates - such as the TCAAP Redevelopment Code - that <br />may not be a priority for revisions. <br />o Identify where online information about the project will be hosted <br />• Conduct a meeting with all City Staff to introduce the project and discuss areas of needed <br />update <br />• Complete a reconnaissance tour led by Staff to gain an understanding of the existing and <br />desired community character, view areas that the City would like to see replicated through <br />zoning code updates, and view areas of concern that may need to be addressed by code <br />updates. <br />• Review the 2040 Comprehensive Plan and any other relevant plans or studies to identify <br />goals, objectives, and recommendations that may be achieved through the development of <br />code regulations <br />• Prepare and refine with Staff a public outreach strategy and engagement schedule <br />• Prepare materials, such as online content, that introduce the project to the public <br />DELIVERABLES <br />• Summary of review of relevant portions of the 2040 Comprehensive Plan to the code update <br />process <br />• Public outreach strategy and engagement schedule <br />• Online content/website for project introduction to the public <br />CITY RESPONSIBILITIES <br />Coordinate meeting scheduling <br />7 <br />
