CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> • MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: March 9, 1995 <br /> TO: Economic Development Committee <br /> FROM: Brian Fritsinger, City Administrato q <br /> SUBJECT: Monthly Report <br /> My economic development activities have been limited this month due to local controversy on <br /> one specific project. <br /> 1. Ogren Townhomes <br /> Applicant has proposed an 18 unit townhome project on the northwest corner of County <br /> Road E2 and Old Hwy #10. The local neighborhood has expressed its opposition to this <br /> project. <br /> 111 2. Amoco <br /> Expansion project is still on hold due to access easement problems. <br /> 3. Everest <br /> The Council provided Everest with its bottom line on assistance for this project. No <br /> answer has been given. <br /> 4. Control Data <br /> Staff met with Control Data to review the company's long term plans. The company has <br /> moved all corporate offices to Arden Hills and the facility is now 100% office. The <br /> company is leasing out portions of the building to other businesses. <br /> 5. Dynamark <br /> Dynamark will be presenting a site plan for a 32,000 square foot building on the Control <br /> Data property. The developer, CSM, has plans for an additional 32,000 square foot <br /> building in the near future. <br /> 6. Ramada <br /> The Ramada has received approval for its transition to a Holiday Inn. <br /> 7. Others <br /> Arbys, Sharro, Arden Plaza, Total Home, and several other businesses have been in <br /> • contact with staff. <br />
