<br />ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL- MAY 15,2006 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />c, <br />d. <br /> <br />Motion to Approve the Replacement of ABS Pump for Lift Station #3 <br />Claims and Payroll-Pulled <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Larson moved and Councilmember Pellegrin seconded a <br />motion to approve the Consent Calendar and to authorize execution of all <br />necessary documents contained therein, The motion carried (4-0), <br /> <br />4. PULLED CONSENT ITEMS <br /> <br />Item 3D-Claims and Payroll <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant noted that the goose removal has been a contentious issue with the City <br />Council in the past. He does not agree with this expense and believes that the lake associations <br />should be responsible for geese removal. <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson said that the ducks and geese are a persistent problem for the area lakes, <br />It is a small fee for the City to pay for alleviating this problem, Tony Schmidt Park is a Ramsey <br />County park, but a number of Arden Hills residents use the park on a regular basis, <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant stated that the Lake Johanna beach club should be paying for this service, <br />Also, the geese removal process may be ineffective in controlling the migratory practices ofthese <br />birds, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson noted that until the geese removal project began, there were many geese <br />that flocked to the park on a regular basis, <br /> <br />MOTION; Councilmember Larson moved and Councilmember Pellegrin seconded a <br />motion to approve Consent Calendar agenda item 3D-Claims and Payroll. <br />The motion carried (3-1 Grant), <br /> <br />5.
