Mr. Eibenhsteiner <br />responded they would be plain canvas in color to coordinate with the rest of the materials. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Grant moved a motion to remove the canopies from the <br />project. The motion failed for a lack of a second. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Larson moved and Councilmember Pellegrin seconded a <br />motion to add condition 25h. to state the canopies shall be without numbers <br />or words. The motion carried (3-1 Councilmember Grant opposed). <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant asked how long did the Council have until they had to make a decision. <br />Mr. Lehnhoff responded they had two months with a 60 day extension. <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant stated he did not believe they should vote on this motion because he did <br />not believe they would have the votes for this and they should wait for Councilmember Holden to <br />attend the meeting. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Grant moved a motion to table this decision to a Council <br />meeting when all Council members are present. The motion failed for lack <br />of a second. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Larson moved and Councilmember Pellegrin seconded a <br />motion to have a ten minute recess. The motion carried unanimously (4-0)_ <br /> <br />The meeting was recessed at 11:01 p.m. and reconvened at 11:12 p.m. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Grant moved and Councilmember Larson seconded a <br />motion to remove Condition 25_h. and add condition 37 that there shall be <br />no awnings/canopies. The motion carried (3-1 Mayor Aplikowski opposed). <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Grant moved and Councilmember Larson seconded a <br />motion to amend items 25a. and 25b. to read 10"xI0' rather than 14"xl0'. <br /> <br />Councilmember Pellegrin asked how the developer felt about this. Mr. Eibenhsteiner <br />responded this was a deal breaker. <br /> <br />Councilmember Pellegrin stated he did not see Councilmember Grant's concerns regarding the <br />signage. Mayor Aplikowski agreed. She asked Councilmember Grant to explain his rationale. <br /> <br />Council member Grant stated large signage would not blend into the development and he was <br />concerned it would look like a strip mall. <br /> <br />Councilmember Larson stated he was an advocate of the City establishing expectations different <br />from other cities and signage was part of this. He stated he agreed that this was a place they were <br />going as a destination and not a place someone would happen on. He stated the signage was there <br />to guide someone to a location and he supported the amendment. <br />
