<br />lIlHlUT1!5 OF POS!IPOllED SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF 'mE <br />VILLAGE OF AIQ:lEN HILLS, MINNJ!:>OTA . <br />Held in the !'own Hall, Monday, June 18, 1951 <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />(Note: !!his special meeting was called by Mayor Cummings for Monda;y, <br />June 11th, for the purpose of appointing a village attorney, but after the call <br />~s mailed he postponed it to June 18th by telephoning the council members.) <br /> <br />Meeting was called. to order at 8 P.J!:. by Mayor Cummings. <br /> <br />All council members present at the roll call. <br /> <br />'!he clerk read the miJlll.tes of the regu.Jar meeting held May 28th; <br />MCClung moved and laok seoonded a motion that the miDates be corrected by in- <br />eerting the words "last Monda;y" before the words .JUne, 1951, " lI.ll..;I;b.e..:tQUth <br />pllr..graph thllreot'; aftu:'wh10h:they were approved as CUJrrected. <br /> <br />Jrack moved li.nd JlcClung seconded a motion that minutes of the May 21st <br />meeting be approved as per copy served on each council member; motion carried. <br /> <br />'!he clerk read the minutes of the special meeting held June 4th; <br />_ck moved and Del.an8e seconded a motion that they be approved and at the Clerk's <br />su.ggestion also ratified because the said meeting was held away from the town <br />(village) hall; carried. <br /> <br />:.yOI' Cummings read a letter dated JUne ll~ from 'filliam R. Miske <br />(1605 Lake Johanna Blvd.) regarding proposed sale of said prQlSrty to one <br />Gerald Wasielewski; Mr. Miske appeared before the councill Cummings moved and <br />JlcClung seconded a motion that the clerk write Mr. Miske a letter that at the <br />present time we have no ordinance prohibiting people trom living in basement <br />homes that are now occupied; carried unanimously. <br /> <br />'!he clerk reported on Mrs. George Peterson of 760 N. Griggs, St. Paul, <br />who is thinking ot buying 10 acree at 42';5 North Hemline Ave. which has a base- <br />ment home and that her son Howard plans on buying 5 l!,cres thereof and build a <br />basement home thereon; as regards the existing basement home the clerk was author- <br />ized to inform Mrs. George Peterson the same as replied to Mr. Miske, but as re- <br />gards the basement home proposed to be built by the son the clerk was authorized <br />to advise her that pending adoption of . proper ordinance regu.la ting the build- <br />ing ot basement hOlll6s no permits will be grented for occupancy: Cummings moved <br />and Maok seconded a motion accordingly, .hich was adopted. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />!he olerk reaa "Notice of Appointment ot Weed Inspector for Tillage;" <br />c......ings moyed and JlcC1UDg seconded a motion to appoint B. J.
