<br />		 				 																     																									Cummings, McClung, 1lack, and Doepner present at the roll call,
<br />		. 			       DeLange absent.
<br />				    																     																									llinutes of the regular meeting held November 26th were approved
<br />		 				as read by the Clerk.
<br />		 				 																     																									(DeLange arrived at this point.)

<br />		 				 																     																									Public Safety: 																														 Cummings moved and McClung seconded a motion, which
<br />		 				was carried, 																										 that the Clerk write both constables (al that their gas allowance
<br />		 				established at Don's Gorner is rescinded as of this date, 																																								     (b) that the sirens
<br />		 				be returned to IIlr. Graffunder, member of the Public Safety Committee, for dis-
<br />		 				position *0 be determined by the council, and (c) that the council's permission
<br />		 				to equip their cars wi th red lights is rescinded, 																																					    the Clerk to also notifY Don's
<br />		 				Corner that the gas credit has been discontinued.

<br />		 				the Village Election," "Summary Statement of. Votes," of the annual election held
<br />		 				December 4th, which showed the following:
<br />		 				Cl'otal vot es cast: 57
<br />		. 			       For mayor, Walter Cummings, 																																			    incumbent, 54; Ralph W. Hunt (write-in) 2
<br />				   For treasurer, Worth G. Read, incumbent unopposed, 54
<br />		 				For constable, Herbert Winkel, incumbent unopposed, 52
<br />		 				For justice of the p6ace~ Frank~. Schmitt, incumbent unopposed, 50
<br />		 				For trustee, 																														  for a term of 3 years, Walter '1'. ~;ack, 																																					incumbent unopposed, 52.
<br />		 				On the question of paying the mayor a salary of $12.50 a month, and each
<br />		 				of'the three trustees $10.00 a month, effective Jan. 2, 																																						       1952, a total of 57 votes
<br />		 				were cast, 															  for each, 47 for each question, and 10 against each question. 																																						     By
<br />		 				motion of llIcClung, 																													  seconded by Delange, 																																      the council as canvassing board unanimously
<br />		 				appr oved the returns declaring Walter Cummings elected mayor, Worth G. Read
