Snell and l4cllaniel appeared <br />for the Nbrthern States Power Co., also present were .John J. Sexton, Chairman <br />~ the Mayor's Planning and Advisory Committee, Bu.ilding Inspector Hurlbert, and <br />Irvin J. Orton, owner of land south of Hwy. 100. '.!hs mayor read the first para.- <br />graph of the Planning Comlni ttee's report dated July 22nd, signed by the chairman, <br />which "recommends that the Arden Hills Cou.ncil ohange from farm ZOIle to illdu.strial <br />zone for Northern States Power use the property (in question); the board further <br />recommends that Northern States Power Oompa~ guarantee the planting of trees to <br />beautifY the property.- ~e two POWer Co. representatives stated they would <br />furnish the village with a letter assuring the beautification in a manner satis- <br />factory to the council, and that the COmpSD3 will not sell the rezoned property <br />for other industrial purposes; thereupon by motion of Mack, which was seconded, <br />the council passed the following resolution: <br /> <br />"RESOLUTION NO. 13 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />"llESOLVED that the Illhition dated June 30, 19.52 of Frank <br />. Winiecke et al for the rezoning of the following described <br />property trom farm residential district to an in&4strial <br />district be granted and that the zoning map be revised <br />accordingly: All that pi. rt of the Southeast one-quarter <br />(S~) of the Southeast One-quarter (SBiI of Section 21, <br />Town 30 North, Range 23 West lying northerly of S. !!'. H. <br />100, westerly of Snelling Ave. and easterly of S. '1'. H. <br />10 III1.bject to said S.T.H. 10 8: 100 and Snelling AvelIlUl <br />(2.6.5 plus acres .1" <br /> <br />(21 Albert Kleidon appeared, stated that he owns several lots at <br />Mounds and Prior Aves., and requested pe rmission to spot a portable officers' <br />quarters while bu.ilding a pexmanent home; by motion of Oummings seconded by <br />Mack the council voted that he "be allowed to use the trailer whi;le bu.ilding <br />a home until May I, 19.53." <br /> <br />(3) Henry Crepeau, Jr., appearel., said he is building on Lots 6 8: 7, <br />Block 2, Arden Hills NO.1 Addition, and asked that a culvert on Lot .5 which <br />draiIlll water ta. his property be changed; Ch. DeLange of the Public Works Commi 1;- <br />tee said he would investigate the matter. <br />
