<br />112 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />MINUTES OF IlliGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />, <br />... <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Monday, March 30, 1953 <br /> <br />The meetins was called to order at 8:07 P.M. by Mayor Cummings. <br /> <br />The minutes of the gegular council meeting of February 24, 1953 <br />were read by the clerk. DeLange moved and Cummings seconded a <br />motion the minutes be approved as read - carried. <br /> <br />Roll Call: Cumnings, DeLanGe; Mack, LUdlow present, McClung absent. <br />There being a quorum present, the Council proceeded with transac- <br />tions of business as follows: <br /> <br />Police Officer George Salitros requested that a letter be written <br />to the fire departments serving the Village asking them to inform <br />the Village police officers when there is a fire. He also brought <br />up the question of the feasibility of a.Village curfew, which was <br />referred to the Public Safety co~wittee. <br /> <br />Mr. Dale Sch~idt of 3458 Siems Court appeared before the Council <br />to report on a bad road condition. After discussion the matter <br />was referred to the co~mittee on roads. <br /> <br />Mr. Harold Thorness andMr. Paul Boyer appeared before the Council <br />to protest the proposed sale of land on the South East corner of <br />Highways #96 & #10 for business purposes. They were told by Mayor <br />Cummings that the use to which the land would have been put has <br />been construed to be industrial, so therefore the sale will not be <br />conslLmated. <br /> <br />Claims #250 - #260 inclusive were read by the clerk. DeLange <br />moved and Mack seconded a motion that the above claims be approves <br />- carried. <br /> <br />~usti6e of the Peace, Graffunder submitted his report for the <br />month. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Reports of Standing Committees: <br /> <br />Finance Committee - Chairman Ludlow reported a treasury balance of <br />1no ,207.41. <br /> <br />Public Safety Committee - Chairman McClung was not present but a <br />list of recommendations was submitted for discussion and action <br />by the Council as follows: <br /> <br />The Council decided to accept an offer by Don Stecker to have <br />cards printed with information as to telephone numbers, names and <br />addresses for fire and pOlice calls and to have one placed in each <br />
