",., "f" ~ <br /> <br />120 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />Monday, June 15, 1953. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:07 P.M. by Mayor <br />Cummings. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Roll Call: All Present. <br /> <br />Building Inspector, Melvin Hurlbert, appeared before the Coun- <br />mil to suggest that an electrical inspector' be appointed for <br />the Village. He introduced Mr. Ed. Salverda, Who had just been <br />appointed electrical inspector for Moundsview. The advantages <br />that would accrue to the Village from such an action were dis- <br />cussed. DeLange moved and Mack seconded a motion that Mr. Sa 1- <br />verda be appointed electrical inspector for the Village of <br />Arden Hills - carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Sam Ciresi appeared to find out what action had been taken <br />on the request for a license for dancing that had been made at <br />the last regular meeting of the Council. He was informed that <br />no action would be taken on any requests for licenses until <br />information forms had been filled out and turned in to the <br />Chairman of the Public Safety Committee. <br /> <br />The Clerk read the bid made on the road surfacing job by the <br />Dependable Surfacing Co. of So. st. Paul. The Council decided <br />to reserve action on the bid until the next regular meeting. <br /> <br />A petition signed by residents on Skiles Lane was read request- <br />ing that a sign be put up warning drivers to watch out for <br />children. McClung moved and Ludlow seconded a'motion that <br />signs be put up on Skiles Lane at Glenarden Rd. and Glenarden <br />Court.- carried. <br /> <br />Mack moved and Ludlow seconded a motion the meeting be adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />The motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 9:12P.M. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />.....e..e..L~ ~' if d~A~ .J-' <br />Shir ey D.
