132 MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS Monday, November 30, 1953 The meeting was called to order at 8:1l P.M, by Mayor Cummin~s Present: }.lack, Mc ClunG, Cumming's , Ludlow . Absent: De Lange The minutes of the meeting of October 26, 1953 were read by the clerk, Mack moved and 1-1c Clung seconded a motion the minutes be approved as read - carried, Mr. Chandler, Ch, of Moundsview To~~ Board, presented an agree- ment relative to the buiillding, renting and use of a new town hall, such agreement to be entered irto by the Village of Arden Hills vrith Moundsview Township. After discussion the Council decided they could not siQn the agreement. Mr. Kenneth Goserud of 1133 W. County Rd. D. asked the Council to see that County Rd, D was plowed this winter. He was advised to have protrUding branches and logs removed so the snow plow could handle the job, Public Safety' - After discussion of the various spots within the Villege believed to be danp;erous to children, Mc Clung moved and LudloVI seconded a motion authorizin" the road commissioner to purchase as many warning signs as are necessary to protect tree children of the Village from speeding motorists - carried, Signs are specifically to be placed at the fOllowing points: 1) Lake Johanna Blvd. south of Ashbacks 2 ) Forest Lane from Snelling 3) Edgewater on Lake Josephine The clerk notified the Council of the receipt of the resignation of Georpe W. Salitros, Constable, as a police officer, Mc Clung moved and Hack seconded a motion the Council accept the reSig- nation of ~olice Officer Salitros effective as of November 30, 1953 - carried, Me Clung moved and LUdlow seconded 11 motion Qiving Police Officer WasielewskillOO salary and 150 car allow- ance for the month of' December. . , -carried. A letter fro"l Eugene Monick was road rersuording the appointment . to the Hamsey County Planning COT1Inission. Ec Clung moved and LudloVl seconded a "lotion appointing Walter Mack for a four year term to the Ramce.'f County Planning Commission - carried.
