<br />147 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />Monday, April 26, 1951, <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:02 P.M. by Mayor Ashbach. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Roll Call: Present - AShbach, 11c Clung, Mack, Ludlow <br />Absent - De Lange <br /> <br />The minutes of the J1arch 30th meoting were read by the clerk. <br />There were no additions or corrections. <br /> <br />Finance - No report. <br />- ' <br /> <br />Public Safety- Justice of the Peace Krautkremer asked that the <br />police officers of the villar:e be noti:fied when the fire depts. <br />are called into the villaf',e. <br /> <br />The proposedburninp: ordinance was discussed. <br /> <br />Me Clung moved and Ludlow seconded a motion appointinp, Norvall <br />Mc Neil as a special police officer for the village for duty at <br />the plant of Charmion Motors with authority restricted to the <br />plant of Champion'Motors. Such appointment is to be effective <br />until January 1, 1955 and sUb,ject to termination upon histermi';' <br />natior of employment with saicl cOI'lpany. The Champion Motors Co. <br />is to be charged any extra premiu'1ls on the liability insurance <br />of the village. Mack voteo contrary - the I'lotion carried. <br /> <br />Public Works - street warning signs are to be erected wherever <br />needed. <br /> <br />The Village Attorney is to check on the village's power to pass <br />an ordinance rer:uletinp: speed within the village. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Public Welfare - Ch. Mack renorted on possible park sites. <br /> <br />Clerk - Clerk Ludlow read the application for a cigarette license <br />of Adam Bona. Ludlow moved and Mack seconded a motion that the <br />application be approved and the license issued effective from <br />May 1, 1954 thru Dec. 31, 1954 - carried. <br /> <br />Village Attorney ~ J1ack moved and Ludlow seconded a motion direct- <br />lng Hr.
