City Council and Planning Commission Roles <br />City Council <br />• Set policy direction for HKGi and Planning Commission <br />• Best in tune with overall vision and public sentiment regarding development <br />throughout the community <br />• Participate in Joint Meetings to ensure there is agreement on <br />direction <br />• Follow progress via regular updates to Council Members after each <br />Planning Commission meeting and/or at key points in the process <br />• Provides opportunities to make course corrections if needed <br />• Consider final approvals of new ordinances <br />
