<br />158 <br /> <br />REGULAR lm'ETING <br /> <br />COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />Monday, August 30, 1954 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:l0 P.M. by Mayo~Ashbach. <br />Present - Ashbach, Mc Clung, Mack, Ludlow <br /> <br />AbSent - De Lange <br />The;minutes Of the July 26th meeting were read by the clerk. <br /> <br />There being no additions or corrections the minutes stood approved <br /> <br />as read. <br /> <br />At this pOint the regular meeting ~as recessed to allow the <br />Council members tOjGin with residents of the Village in a commemor- <br />ation, sponsored by t~e League of Women Voters, to former mayor, <br />Walter Cummings. Mr. Walter ~ack made the presentation of a plaque, <br />installed on a wall of the Villap:e hall" to Mrs. ClL.1llllings, all of <br /> <br />IJX. Cumming'S many friends and residents of the Village. .1~. Mc Clung <br /> <br /> <br />spoke of his association with t~. C~1llllings as a Qouncil member and of <br /> <br />the respect in which he was held bY,all. <br />The qouneil then reconvened and went on to make reports to the <br />citizens assembled as to what has been done and what is being <br /> <br />_ planned for the Village. <br />Mayor'S Report - Mayor AShbach spoke of the pote~tial.indus- <br />trial deve~opment possil.Jle il1 the area of the Twin City Ordinance <br />Plant if that plant should ever arcain revert to civilian usage. He <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />also stated the problem of sewage as one to be faced in the future. <br /> <br />Planning Comnittee - Ch. Sexton reported Robert T. Jones, <br />
