Absent - De Lange. <br /> Ch. or the Finance Committee, Mrs. Ludlow, presented the <br /> recemmendations and budget proposed by the finance committee for <br /> the year 1955. <br /> After discussion during which the proposed amount for civil <br /> derense was dscreased from ~200.00 to $25.00 and the proposed amount <br /> I -, "- <br /> for parl< development was increased fron $400.00 to $775.00; Me Clung <br /> moved and I~ack seconded a motion that the budget be approved incorpor- <br /> ating the above mentioned chanp:es - carried. <br /> Ludlow then moved that Resolution # 20 requesting a 1954 tax <br /> 1wvy of $17,100.00 be approved. Me Clung seconded the motion and the <br /> motion carried. <br /> The Council gave its approval to the appointing or VirGinia <br /> Swanson and Esther Smith as judges; and Shirley Ludlow and Mary Jane <br /> IsaAcson as clerks for the November general election. <br /> The Council also recommended that a study of all insurance <br /> policies be made berore the next anniversary date. <br /> .
