<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />PARKS, TRAILS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE MEETING <br />TUESDAY, MAY 21, 2024, 6:30 PM <br />ARDEN HILLS CITY HALL <br /> <br />CALL MEETING TO ORDER <br /> <br />Committee Chair Jill Anderson called the May 21, 2024 meeting of the Parks, Trails, and <br />Recreation Committee to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Chair Jill Anderson, Committee Members Kerri Seemann, Abigail <br />Weber, Lacy Loosbrock, Nancy Jacobson, Kate Olson, Emelia Rogers, and Elizabeth Johnson <br /> <br />OTHERS PRESENT: Recreation Supervisor Matt Johnson and Council Liaison Emily Rousseau <br /> <br />ABSENT: Committee Members Tim Nelson and Dan Dietz, and Youth Committee Member <br />Maeve Edgar <br /> <br />1. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Chair Anderson requested an Eagle Scout Project Update be added to the agenda as New Business <br />item 5A. <br /> <br />MOTION: Committee Member Olson moved and Committee Member Edgar seconded a <br />motion to approve the meeting agenda as amended. The motion carried (8-0). <br /> <br />2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />A. April 16, 2024 PTRC Minutes <br /> <br />MOTION: Committee Member Olson moved and Committee Member Rogers seconded a <br />motion to approve the meeting minutes as presented. The motion carried (8-0). <br /> <br />3. REPORTS <br /> <br />A. Council Liaison Update <br /> <br />Council Liaison Rousseau stated the City received $18,390 from the Twin Cities Gateway <br />Visitor’s Bureau which comes from hotel lodging taxes. She noted last year about $14,000 was <br />divided between Rib Fest and Bethel University’s homecoming. She indicated that this year the <br />Council was looking to evenly divide the funds between Rib Fest, Bethel University, Beyond the <br />Yellow Ribbon and potential events hosted by the Mounds View School District. She stated the <br />funds are to be used for marketing and promoting the city’s tourism. <br /> <br />
