April 5. 1955 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 8115 P.!~. by ~or Ashbach. <br /> <br />Roll Call: All members present <br /> <br />MJ,'. Tretter and Mr. Larson of Northern States Power Company stated a desire for <br /> <br /> <br />. their company to bring natural gas into Areen Hills. Copies of an. ordinance <br /> <br /> <br />allowing this was presented Council. Mr. Tretter read thru the ordinance with the <br /> <br />Council. After discussion. Council requested Mr. Courtney ItGk inllo the ordinance <br /> <br />presented and report to the Council at next meeting.. Clerk will furnish Council <br />members with a copy of the ordinanoe. <br />Mr. McClung stated a dog ordinanoe had been drawn up by his oommittee. Clerk will <br /> <br />furnish Counoil members with a copy of the dog ordinanoe. <br /> <br />Mr. Stepnitz and Mr. RysgMd appeared regarding the Zilliolt req:uest. After Counoil <br /> <br />disoussion. Dr. Hoyt made a motion we call for a publio hearing of the Zilliolt <br />",~t'~ <br />property which legal deeoription is "That part of swt of SEC. Z7. Township 30. <br /> <br />Re.nge 23. lying So. of R.R. Right of W~n from Farm residenCe to Business. and <br /> <br />sohedule the hearing for April 25. 1955. Stromquist seconded and the motion passed. <br /> <br />After Counoil discussion on the Air Raid .Alarm System. McClung moved and DeLange <br /> <br />seoonded the motion the Villa,ge approve $410.00 for installation of two Air Raid <br />Warning Sirens. to take advantage of the cost born by the state and federal Civil <br />Defense Organization. Motion passed. The motion was later ammended for $436.00 <br /> <br />instead of $410.00 as that lias the oorreot amount required. The breakdown of the <br /> <br />figure on the siren system are as follows: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Siren <br />Contrdll <br />Cost of installation <br />Total <br /> <br />$Z70.00 each <br />32.00 each <br />400.00 each <br />$ 702.00 <br /> <br />Of the $702.00 for each siren. Arden Rills p~s for ~ of this or $175.50. The oost <br />of the bell and light for the system is $85.00. Of this Arden Rills pays i or <br />$42.50. ~nis makes a total of $218.00 or a total of $436.00 for the two sirens. <br /> <br />The State and Federal Civil Servioe pays the remaining oost. <br />
