Attachment A <br />-tiVEN HILLS <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO.2024-040 <br />ABATEMENT OF A NUISANCE AT 1960 GLENPAUL AVENUE <br />WHEREAS, Alexander and Cara Kolmer are the property owners of the following <br />described property: <br />Address: 1960 Glenpaul Avenue <br />Arden Hills, MN 55112 <br />PID:333023330074 <br />Legal Description: See Exhibit A attached hereto <br />WHEREAS, notice therefore was posted on said property and sent certified mail to the <br />property owner pursuant to City Regulations; and, <br />WHEREAS, this abatement was initiated pursuant to the City of Arden Hills Municipal <br />Code; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Arden Hills City Council held a hearing on August, 12th 2024. All <br />persons present at said meeting were given an opportunity to be heard and present written <br />statements. The Council also considered the recommendation of the City Staff that this abatement <br />be approved; and, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL <br />hereby adopts Resolution 2024-040 to abate noxious weeds and vegetation growth that does not <br />comply with City regulations at 1960 Glenpaul Avenue, and to charge the property owner for <br />125% of the cost of abatement, including administrative costs.; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council's abatement order will remain in effect for a two (2) year <br />period and will authorize the City's Code Enforcement Officer to take corrective action during <br />such period for tall grasses, nuisance weeds, and other vegetative growth according to the <br />Accelerated Abatement Procedures in City Code Section 602.07.; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, in the event that the property owner does not pay any portion <br />of the charges, that the unpaid amount shall be assessed against the Property, to be collected with <br />the real estate taxes in the year in which this Resolution is recorded, together with an Affidavit of <br />Cost incurred, and that any assessments levied pursuant to this Resolution shall bear interest at the <br />rate of 4.5% per annum from the date of recording until September 1st of the year in which the <br />special assessment is paid in full. <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
