It' <br />---ARVEN HILLS <br />08/05/2024 <br />Alexander, Cara Kolmer <br />1960 Glenpaul Avenue <br />Arden Hills, MN 55112- <br />Re: City Code Violation at 1960 Glenpaul Ave - PID #333023330074 <br />ABATEMENT NOTICE <br />Dear Resident: <br />On June 17, 2024, the City of Arden Hills investigated a complaint and determined there was <br />vegetation growing in violation of Chapter 6 — Nuisances and Offenses of the Arden Hills City <br />Code. On June 26 h, the City completed a follow up investigation and found that the property was <br />still in violation of the ordinance listed below. A third inspection was completed on July 16th which <br />resulted in a final notice being sent due to the failure to comply. On August 1St, city staff conducted <br />a fourth inspection and determined the property remains in violation of the following Public <br />Nuisance City Code: <br />VIOLATION: <br />• Section 602.02 — Public Nuisances Affecting Health states "The following are hereby <br />declared to be nuisances affecting health... Subd. 6. All noxious weeds and other growths <br />of vegetation upon public or private property in excess of eight (8) inches." <br />CORRECTION: <br />• Cut or remove the current vegetation growth in the rear yard to below the maximum <br />allowed height of eight (8) inches and maintain the entire property in compliance with this <br />standard. <br />This letter serves as an abatement notice regarding the city regulation that requires all residents to <br />maintain their grass at a height of no more than eight (8) inches. Our records indicate that you have <br />not complied with this regulation, particularly with respect to the grass in your rear yard. Please <br />take the necessary corrective action by the close of the business day on August 11, 2024 to <br />remediate the above violation. The city will do an inspection of the rear yard on August 12, 2024. <br />If the violation is not remediated by the required date, the City will proceed with the order of <br />abatement as allowed under Section 602.05, General Abatement Procedure, of the Arden Hills <br />City Code as this is considered an ongoing violation of this regulation. <br />If the corrective action has not been taken by the required date, the City Council will hold a hearing <br />at 7:00 pm on August 12, 2024, at Arden Hills City Hall, 1245 West Highway 96.
