Services reviewed the scope of the repair and submitted a quoted price of $55,500.00. The lesser <br />of the two quotes was then selected to perform the work and resulted in a cost savings of <br />$17,167.00 to the City. This extra scope is described in further detail within TKDA's <br />Recommendation Letter (Attachment A). This work was then completed by M&B Services in <br />accordance with the required schedule and quality requirements and the Invoice for this work is <br />shown in Attachment B. Staff recommends that Council approve Change Order #1 for the 2024 <br />CIPP Lining Project, an increase of $55,500, and also pay M&B Services Inc. for the services <br />completed and rendered within their Invoice #1/Final payment in the full amount of $55,500. <br />Budget Impact <br />A summary of the project costs and funding sources to date is provided below: <br />Total As -Bid Costs: <br />Construction (Primary) $ 282,260 <br />Construction (Alternate) $ 56,700 <br />Change Order #1 (M&B) $ 55,500 <br />En ing eering Services $ 61,400 <br />TOTAL $ 455,860 <br />Total Estimated Funding <br />Sanitary Sewer Utility Fund $ 455,860 <br />TOTAL $ 455,860 <br />The City is participating in the 2023 Metropolitan Council (MCES) Public Inflow and <br />Infiltration Grant program. Roughly 25% of the construction costs from this project will be <br />eligible for reimbursement at the end of the program cycle in 2026. <br />I/I grant eligible funds are 25% of the pipe lining bid item costs (including CO#1), which is <br />calculated to be $84,440. <br />The 2024-2028 CIP Budget includes funding in the amount of $415,000 for the proposed work. <br />The overage of $40,860 will be covered by the Sanitary Sewer Utility Fund. <br />Attachments <br />Attachment A - Recommendation Letter from TKDA <br />Attachment B — Payment #1/Final for Quoted work from M&B Services Inc. <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />
