<br />243 <br /> <br />Jerome Wasielewski requested iDformation in regard to home address <br />changes. He was informed to contact the County Engineer's office at the <br />COlll't House. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Public Safety Committee: Mr. McClung reported he had attended a meeting <br />of the Mounds View Town Board to represent our village and requested that <br />the Boa~d not rezone the NE corner of Lexington and Co. RQ, D to <br />Commercial, due to the objections of seyeral Arden Hllls residents who <br />live across from it, Mr. McClung reported that the area was rezoned <br />to Commercial by the Board. <br /> <br />Finance Committee: Mrs. StromqUist requested that all Council members <br />submit by letter a list of their 1957 budget requirements to the <br />Finance Committee on or before Septmeber 1, 1956. The budget must be <br />approved by the Council at the regular September meeting, <br /> <br />Attorney's Report: Mr. Courtney reported that due to the sewage survey <br />and elections he had put in considerable extra time. After Council <br />discussion it was agreed that Mr. Courtney should submit a bill at the <br />end of the year for his additional work and it was also suggested that <br />at the beginning of the new year that the Attorney's retainer be more <br />definately outlined by the Council. <br /> <br />Mayor's Report: After Council discussion, McClung moved and Stromquist <br />seconded the motion that a letter be sent by the Mayor to Mr. Popovich <br />and Mr. Bannister and the Village of Roseville thanking them for the <br />time spent and information given in regard to the sewer hook-upsurvey. <br />Motion passed. <br /> <br />McClung moved and Stromquist seconded the motion that Mayor Ashbach <br />communicate with Roseville to withdraw our request for sewage hook-up <br />with the City of St. Paul. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Dr. Hoyt reported a meeting to be held at the Court House in <br />at 7:30 P.M. July 31 on suburban water and sewage problems. <br />agreed to attend to represent Olll' village. <br /> <br />Dr. Hoyt reported that Mayor Ashbach had requested that he represent <br />Arden Hills at a meeting in regard to our new Melrose exchange telephone <br />numbers, to be held July 31. <br /> <br />St. Paul <br />Mr. McClung <br /> <br />Clerk's Report: Clerk was requested to send a letter to F.L.Woodward of <br />the Board of Sanitation thanking him for the information given the village <br />in regard to lake pollution. <br />Clerk was requested to send a copy to the Sauers Co. of the recommendations <br />rrade by Mr. Carley in his letter to Council of July 27, 1956. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Upon motion by stromquist, seconded by McClung, the rezone request of Mr. <br />Mathes was referred to the Plan. Ed. Motion passed. <br /> <br />After Council discussion it was decided that Judges of the election board <br />should be replaced a~ter serving not more than theee elections. <br /> <br />~~. Mc~lung moved and Stromquist seconded the motion that Mrs. June Hanson. <br />Mrs. Ed. Waldock. and Mrs. Jane Rank serve as judges at the Sept 11 <br />State Primary Election.
