The City Council discussed the data presented and whether or <br />not it would want to adjust its salary. <br />Per City Code, the salary of the Mayor and Councilmembers shall be reviewed every six years or <br />earlier as determined by the City Council. Per State Statute, a Council can vote to increase its salary <br />at any time, but the adjustment cannot take effect until subsequent to the next election. <br />Council salaries were last amended via adoption of Ordinance 2017-012, with the adjustment taking <br />effect following the 2018 General Election, and so on January 1, 2019. <br />Currently, and if approved, a salary adjustment would be effective subsequent to the November 5, <br />2024 General Election, and so on January 1, 2025. <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
