CONSENT ITEM - 8E <br />'It <br />WIZEN HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: September 9, 2024 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Jessica Jagoe, Interim City Administrator <br />FROM: Julie Hanson, Assistant to the City Administrator/City Clerk <br />SUBJECT: Appointment of Vincent Meyer as Economic Development Commission (EDC) <br />Youth Commissioner <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br />N/A N/A N/A <br />Council Should Consider <br />Motions to approve, table, or deny the following: <br />• Resolution 2024-042 Appointing Vincent Meyer as the Youth Commissioner to the Economic <br />Development Commission (EDC). <br />Background <br />On July 10, 2023, the City Council adopted Ordinance 2023-007, adding one additional member to <br />serve to the EDC in the capacity as Youth Commissioner. <br />An interview was conducted by a panel that included EDC Chair Frank Cupery, Councilmember <br />liaison Emily Rousseau, Staff liaison Senior Planner Elena Fransen, and Interim City Administrator <br />Jessica Jagoe.
