<br /> ~lINUTES OF REGlJ1AR !'IEETIllG <br /> COUllCIL OF THE VILLAGE oF ARDEN HILLS <br /> HOlIDAY, DECENEER 29, 1958 <br /> The meeting was called tc order at 8:00 p.m. by Mayor Ashbach. <br /> Roll Call: Present; Ashbach, DeLange, llinfrey, Crepeau, Stromquist <br /> Absent; Irone <br /> . The minutes of the December 4, 1958 and December 8, 1958 meetings wore read and approved. <br /> E!lgineer's Report: Bill Dolan presented plans for turn around for Ridgewood Court, and a <br /> 3 foot wide footpath extending from end of Ridgewood Court straight through plat. r.1r. <br /> Gardener inspected plans as submitted. <br /> Hr. Gardener stated that he is willing to deed the property needed for the proposed footpath. <br /> Attorney Courtney stated that no public hearing is required for the proposed project, but ii' <br /> any lllild is to be condemned then condemnation procedings must be ta.'<:en. }layor Ashbach <br /> stated he should receive some ~e of commitment from the state this week that Ridgewood <br /> Court will not be closed off from Johanna Blvd. <br /> Engineer was requested to draw up proper legal descriptions for the land needed for the <br /> proposed turn around. Engineer's plan for project was filed with Clerk. <br /> Mayor Ashbach reported that the tv/o tennants on Connelly Avenue in the Zilliox plat want to <br /> start action to advertise for bids to bring Connelly Avenue up to Village standards and to <br /> aSsess the benefitted property owners for the cost. llinfrey moved, DeLange seconded the <br /> motion that the Village take steps to have engineer draw up plans to bring Connelly Avenue <br /> up to Village standards and to assess the benefitted property o,;ners for the cost. Carried. <br /> Building Inspector, Kelley reported that an old advertising sign was dOl.m at Highway 10 north <br /> of Soo Line tracks. Council informed Building Inspector that he has authority to tear it down <br /> and requested that he do so. <br /> HAYOR'S REPORT: }layor Ashbach reported that he will meet with "layor Cedarholm of Roseville <br /> shortly arid obtain facts arid figures for sewer study, and then will meet with land ow~ers <br /> of area desiring sewer hook-up with Roseville. <br /> ~k. Richard Jones presented Council with a petition from residents of the area requesting <br /> that Council recondider the recent r-ezoning of land at Clevela."ld Avenue and Sto'le and re"lone <br /> it back :f:rom,commiJ:i'cial: ,to residential. Several residents cf the area spoke in opposition <br /> cf the commercial zcning of the land. The matter I<as referred tc the Public lielfare Committee. <br /> Richard Schreyer re"uested consideration of his liquor license applicaticn for the building <br /> at 4701 IlLghway 10 and requested that Council bring matter to a vote. After considerable <br /> . discussicn on the matter by Council and residents, DeLange moved, Crepeau seconded the <br /> motion that I<e give tentative approval of a liquor license to Richard Schreyer at 470:j. <br /> Highway #10, subject to Council approval to building site and building plans, said license <br /> to be issued a reasonable timc after second license is granted. <br /> ROll call vote: Yes; Ashbach, DeLange, Crepeau, '/finfrey <br /> No; Strcmquist <br /> Carried <br /> Hr. '!iick Pcmerenke requested a "Slo," - Children" sign for Glenpaul Rcad. Natter referred <br /> tc Public Works Committee. <br />
