.

.

3

what steps might be taken for this area spoken of as the
Southeast area early in 1958. The work was expanded somewhat
in the sUlllJller of 1958 and a preliminary report was submitted
to the Arden Hills Council in late 1958. The area under consider-
ation is what we have described in the report tc the Council as
being the Southeast area of the Village and it comprises
approximately 630 acres. Bounded by Lilxington Avenue cn the
east, en the south by the scuth village limits or County Road D.
on the west by the west Une of the Nazareth Hall property,
continuing northerly and rather directly to the 500 Line tracks
and then westerly along the Soo Line tracks to the center of
Hamline Avenue, then north a short distance and easterly to
Lexington Avenue. As r said before, that comprises approximately
630 acres. The area being considered for immediate sewer service
is described in our report as being Area 1 or District land
includes approximately 80 acres in area. The connection for
this sewer, as you probably all know from having read the
literature, is proposed to be with the Village of Roseville
sanitary sewer system connecting at a point which is approximately
County Ro~d D and Hamline. I believe County Ro~d D has been re-
named Glen Hill so our literature may be a little behind date.
r think we all kno~ where the point of connection is. The Roseville
sanitary sewer system, as you know, has been under construction now
commencing approximately 3 years ago. The first phases were completed
abtut a year ago and they are now 1n their second phase of con-
struction. This second phase of construction covers the area 1n
Roseville which abuts against the southeast area of Arden Hills.
It has been proposed and requested by your Council that a connection
