.

.

35

.

.

without a clean out. That's to protect you against a cheap job
to start with and a lot of trouble afterwhile. When you get to
going around the house and building these curves and clean outs
and the digging and a lot of pipe, perhaps it's cheaper to go right
through the basement, and that would be as Mr. P0povich pointed
out, the individual connection is entirely up to the 'property owner
on his individual contract with the man that's going to do the work
and I expect he wi 11 go into the detail s at that time and see
which is going to be the cheaper. So far my information has been
that there are many situations when it's actually cheaper to go
back through the basement floor than the curves and clean outs.
~~YOR ASHBACH: Any other questions or comments?
MR. J. TIMM, 1400 Cudmings: I don't know if I went on
record but at this time I would like to say I am in favor of the
proposed project.
~R. L. B. STEVENSON, 3461 ~iems Court: I would like to know
at what approximate date we could expect the sewers to be installed.
~R. BANISTER: To answer your question, that, of course, is a
tough one and some of it is going to depend a little bit on procedure
of the Council. They have to take a position before construction
could be underway. The plans and specifications would have to be
completed. It is possible that part of the area rright have service
in the year of 1960. I would hesitate to pro~ise service for
196C. I think some of the area could get it but it's questionable
as to whether all of it could. The Council has within six months
of this date to order the improvement in and if the Council
waited 6 months before ordering it in then plans and specifications
being prepared after that, there would be no construction in 1960.

.
