<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MINUTES OF INFORMAL MEETnm HELD AT HOME OF MAYOR <br />ASHBACH, VILLI\.GE OF ARDEN HILIS, Feb. 15.1961. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Mayor Ashbach explained that the meeting was for the purpose of discuss- <br />ing resident's ideas on certain programs upon which the Village should <br />more actively promote or pursue. <br /> <br />A group of about fifty residents and Village officers, representing all <br />areas of the Village attended the meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Ashbach commended John Sexton for his long and faithful service <br />to the Village since it's incorporation in 1951. <br /> <br />Mayor Ashbach commended Mr. and Mrs.Cliff Steinkraus for their active <br />participation in and service to the Village and expressed regret that <br />they are to move out of the State, March 1st. <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar R. Williams of the Ramsey County Library gave a talk on the <br />possibility of a library in Arden Hills at some future date. <br /> <br />Mr. Robert Kerr discussed the possibility of business and industrial <br />development in the Village and the advantage of long range planning. <br /> <br />Mr. Vie Pomerenke gave a short talk on park and playground acquisition <br />and development and the proposed correlation of recreational programs <br />with the Village and the school district. <br /> <br />Mayor Ashbach read a small portion of the Stanton-Pittelkow & Assoc. <br />report on Local Goverment in Arden Hills. which recommends a change in <br />form of government to Plan A. <br /> <br />Following this a discussion was held on the matters presented. The <br />group as a whole favored a more definite program of long range planning <br />and Mayor Ashback assured them that both he and the Council would give <br />the matters attention. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned. <br />Donuts and coffee were served by the Ashbachs. <br /> <br />>c<" S~ <br />~mqUiS~~ <br />
