./,.'" ./ STATE OF MINNESOTA COUNTY OF RAMSEY VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS RESOLUTION DIRECTING COMMENCEMENT OF CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS ON GROTTO CLUB . WHEREAS, on August 15, 1963, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., the Council of Arden Hills held a public hearing to detemine the advisability of condemning and demolishing certain buildings situated on the following land in Arden Hills, to-wit: Hackney Park Plat 2 subject to new boulevard and easements - the south half of old boulevard vacated adjoining and following part of lots 2 and 3, westerly of a line run from point on south line of and 20 feet from southeasterly corner of said lot 3 to point on north line of and 25 feet from northwesterly corner of said lot 2 and all of lots 4 and 5; also Hackney Park Plat 2 subject to new Johanna Boulevard - the south half of old Johanna Boulevard vacated and ad- joining and following east 20 feet of lot 7 and all of 6, and WHEREAS, said proceeding was initiated upon the basis of a written report by Clay Kelley. Arden Hills Building Inspector, dated June 22, 1963, advising that the buildings on the premises were beyond repair, were in a very hazardous condition, and should be condemned and demolished, and WHEREAS, said hearing was preceded by written notice by certified mail to the record owner of the property, which notice was duly received by the owner on July 20, 1963, and WHEREAS, at the hearing held on said date and place the owner of the property, Mrs. Margaret Arneson, appeared and was heard on the matter; that Mrs. Arneson made no objection to the demolition of said buildings and stated I that the buildings were a detriment to the property, and WHEREAS, the hearing was duly closed on August 15, 1963 and action thereon was subsequently postponed by the Council to permit the property owner to sell said property to a purchaser who would guarantee demolition of the buildings thereon, and WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Council more than a reasonable time has - 1 -
