<br />./,.'" <br /> <br />./ <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br />VILLAGE OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DIRECTING COMMENCEMENT OF <br /> <br />CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS ON GROTTO CLUB <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on August 15, 1963, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., the Council of Arden <br /> <br />Hills held a public hearing to detemine the advisability of condemning and <br /> <br />demolishing certain buildings situated on the following land in Arden Hills, <br /> <br />to-wit: <br /> <br />Hackney Park Plat 2 subject to new boulevard and <br />easements - the south half of old boulevard vacated <br />adjoining and following part of lots 2 and 3, westerly <br />of a line run from point on south line of and 20 feet <br />from southeasterly corner of said lot 3 to point on <br />north line of and 25 feet from northwesterly corner <br />of said lot 2 and all of lots 4 and 5; also Hackney <br />Park Plat 2 subject to new Johanna Boulevard - the <br />south half of old Johanna Boulevard vacated and ad- <br />joining and following east 20 feet of lot 7 and all <br />of 6, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said proceeding was initiated upon the basis of a written <br /> <br />report by Clay Kelley. Arden Hills Building Inspector, dated June 22, 1963, <br /> <br />advising that the buildings on the premises were beyond repair, were in a <br /> <br />very hazardous condition, and should be condemned and demolished, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said hearing was preceded by written notice by certified mail <br /> <br />to the record owner of the property, which notice was duly received by the <br /> <br />owner on July 20, 1963, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at the hearing held on said date and place the owner of the <br /> <br />property, Mrs. Margaret Arneson, appeared and was heard on the matter; that <br /> <br />Mrs. Arneson made no objection to the demolition of said buildings and stated <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />that the buildings were a detriment to the property, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the hearing was duly closed on August 15, 1963 and action <br /> <br />thereon was subsequently postponed by the Council to permit the property <br /> <br />owner to sell said property to a purchaser who would guarantee demolition of <br /> <br />the buildings thereon, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Council more than a reasonable time has <br /> <br />- 1 - <br />
