ARDEN HILLS SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION — SEPTEMBER 23, 2024 16 <br />companies are soliciting services that use heavily regulated substances but don't go through the <br />proper channels at the city to be allowed to solicit. <br />Councilmember Monson said they will discuss the cannabis moratorium and the franchise fees <br />on October 14. So that is already two big discussions. Adding the upcoming personnel items, that <br />meeting seems full. <br />Interim City Administrator Jagoe confirmed. She added the October 28 work session is <br />scheduled as a joint work session with the Planning Commission to go over ordinance review with <br />the consultants. <br />Councilmember Fabel said he wants the speed limit on Snelling between Highway 51 and <br />County Road B added as a topic to discuss. He would like Council to consider bringing the speed <br />limit up to match the surrounding roads. <br />Councilmember Monson asked if it is 25 mph there. <br />Councilmember Fabel confirmed. It's 40 on either side. He thinks the speed limit in that section <br />should be raised. <br />4.
