CONSENT ITEM - 8B <br />M` <br />-ARPEN HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: November 12, 2024 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Jessica Jagoe, Interim City Administrator <br />FROM: Julie Hanson, Assistant to the City Administrator/City Clerk <br />SUBJECT: Resolution Certifying the 2024 Municipal Election Canvass Results <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br />Council Should Consider <br />Motions to approve, table, or deny the following: <br />• Approving Resolution 2024-051 certifying the 2024 municipal election canvass results. <br />Backiround/Discussion <br />Members of the City Council are required by State Statute to certify the results of the Municipal <br />Election to the Ramsey County Auditor within three (3) to ten (10) days after the General Election. <br />Attached are Resolution 2024-051 as well as the Abstract of Votes certifying the 2024 Municipal <br />Election results from the November 5, 2024, General Election. Please note the write-in tally sheets are <br />not yet available from Ramsey County and that information will be provided to Council as a bench <br />handout at the November 12 Council meeting. <br />The following are results from the 2024 election: <br />Brenda Holden as Arden Hills City Councilmember for a four-year term beginning in January <br />2025; and <br />Kurt Weber as Arden Hills City Councilmember for a four-year term beginning in January <br />2025. <br />Attachments <br />Attachment A: Resolution 2024-051 <br />Attachment B: Abstract of Votes <br />Page l of 1 <br />
