Page 19 <br /> <br />4.0 ANALYSIS OF NEW BUILDING RELECTIONS ON ADJACENT HOMES <br /> <br />Concerns about possible increases in traffic noise at homes north of TH10 due to reflections off the new <br />building have been raised. This is a rather complex issue due to a continuous traffic noise source along <br />the roadway, several orientations of the building façade and a range of home locations across Highway 10 <br />as seen in Figure 3.1. <br /> <br />The currently available traffic noise model from the Federal Highway Administration (TNM 2.5) does not <br />evaluate reflections. However, the latest model TNM 3.2 can evaluate this type of reflections but is not <br />yet readily available for public use. Luckily, a staff member at Bowlby Associates which is the leading <br />consultant on the FHWA noise models kindly offered to run this model on TNM 3.2. Results of this <br />analysis are presented below in Figure 4.1. <br /> <br /> <br />Figure 4.1 TNM 3.2 Model Results on Reflections <br /> <br />
