I Meeting <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br />June 29, 1970 <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney stated that much of the ordinance requires <br />Interpretation by the Director. <br /> <br />Mr. Robert Kerr, 3510 Siems Court, asked the term of the Village <br />contract with the rubbish haulers. Mayor Crepeau advised that <br />the contract Is between the haulers and each Individual property <br />owner; the haulers are licensed by the Village for one-year <br />periods. <br /> <br />Pollee SQuad Car Lease <br />Attorney Courtney reviewed the lease agreements presented by All <br />Lease Company ($136.00 per month) and North Amer!can Leasing <br />Company ($113.00 per month), advising that North American Leasing <br />Company's bid is apparently the lower of the two; further <br />advising that the Village should have the benefit of a new-car <br />warranty and that the agreement be current I y dated. I twas <br />moved by Councilman John Hoilenhorst that the Council authorize <br />Attorney Courtney to negotiate an amended agreement with North <br />American Leasing Company and to cancel the present lease agreement <br />with All Lease Company as soon as legally possible; seconded by <br />Counci Iman Stan Olmen and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Johnson Re!li~t.ratlon of Part of Valentine Ll!IJ5.!_Xi~w No.2 <br />Mr. Courtney reviewed his letter dated June 29, 1970 re the statuG <br />of the Village oe Vj~~age rights on FlorallJrive. III.... <br />ORDINANCE NO. 99, THE ZONING ORDINANCE, BY ADDING THERETO A <br />PROVISION SETTING A MAXIMUM HEIGHT FOR GARAGE DOORS iN RESIDENTIAL <br />DISTRICTS. <br /> <br />It was moved by Counci Iman John Ho!lenhorst that the ordinance <br />be Introduced by tl~te and referred to the Planning Cbmmisslon for <br />review; motion was seconded by Councilman Stan ODmen and carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ENGINEER DONALD LUND <br /> <br />State Aid Street System <br />Engineer Donald Lund advised the Council that because we now have <br />a popuijatlon in excess of 5,000 a planned system of state aid <br />streets should be designated, of existing and/or future roads for <br />construction and maintenance, and presented a list he prepared <br />for Council review. He advised the Council that the system can be <br />revised annually if desired, but requested that a pUan be developed <br />to be submitted with cost estimates to the state by August I, i970. <br /> <br />The matter was referred to the Planning Commission to be reviewed <br />at the July 7, 1970 meeting. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Time fxtension ReQuests- Construction Projects <br />Engineer Donald Lund advised the Council that time extensions of <br />approximately 60 days have, or wi II be received. from the five <br />construction companies currently under contract with the Village. <br /> <br />Several residents were present and advised the Council of their <br />grievances re the water construction projects, citing "no progress, <br />safety hazards, dirt, lack of activity, lack of consideration of <br />the residents, etc.". It was requested by the Council that <br />Engineer Donald Lund prepare a detaIled progress report for the <br />next Councl I meeting and request that a member of each contracting <br />company be present at the meeting. <br /> <br />(Engineer Lund to provide Attorney Courtney with a copy of the <br />contracts for his review and report to the Council.> <br /> <br />-2- <br />
