24- <br />I <br />A motion was made by J . McTavish , seconded by G. <br />Beggin , that J . Buckley draw up a plan for Perry Park showing <br />existing structures , relocating hockey rink to north side of <br />road and adding possible site for tennis court, baseball and/or <br />softball fields and additional parking ; Motion carried . <br />May <br />John reported on the work the Boy Scouts and Girl <br />Scouts have done in Perry Park and the Hazel Nut Patch . John <br />also reported that over 400 evergreen seedlings and 75 black <br />walnut tree seedlings had been planted in both parks . I <br />July <br />G. Beggin reported on the upgrading of the baseball <br />diamond at Irondale. The Committee decided that with this <br />added facility , the area is adequately supplied with 90 ' baseball <br />facilities . <br />M. Erickson made a motion that we construct a multi - <br />purpose field in the lower half of Perry Park. Ruth Cadwell <br />seconded . The motion carried , with G. Beggin abstaining . <br />J . Buckley presented a concept plan of the area . He was asked by <br />the Committee to do the final planning and layout. <br />1975 <br />City Council Minutes : June <br />Buckley reported that Parks and Recreation Committee <br />recommends first priority for Charles Perry Park and presented a <br />sketch of proposed improvements in 1975 . Crichton moved Council <br />approval of plan for Perry Park as shown ( excluding tennis court ) , <br />seconded by Crepeau . Motion carried unanimously . Council con- <br />J• curred that it would be desirable to have a plan for total park <br />development . <br />I''
