Avoid personal attacks, discriminatory <br />language, or offensive remarks. <br />Conflict of Interest: <br />• Disclose any potential conflicts of interest related to personal or business ties to <br />projects or vendors being discussed. <br />• Refrain from voting on matters where a conflict of interest exists. <br />Active Participation: <br />• Attend committee meetings regularly and be prepared to contribute thoughtful <br />input. <br />• Listen attentively to other members' perspectives and engage in open dialogue. <br />Decision-Making: <br />• Base decisions on the best interests of the community and park system, <br />considering all relevant factors. <br />• Respect the majority vote while ensuring minority viewpoints are heard. <br />Ethical Conduct: <br />• Adhere to all local laws, regulations, and park district policies. <br />• Report any suspected violations of ethical conduct or policy breaches to the <br />appropriate authority. <br />Reporting and Accountability: <br />• Provide timely updates on assigned tasks and committee activities. <br />• Be open to feedback and constructive criticism. <br />Confidentiality: <br />• Protect sensitive information discussed during committee meetings, including <br />details about individuals or potential projects. <br />• Only disclose information as authorized by the committee or relevant regulations.
