Recyclables Collection The collection of all recyclable materials properly set out by <br />residents or property managers from eligible RDUs or MDUs into <br />specially identified recyclable carts. Collection shall also include <br />transporting the recyclable materials to the City -designated <br />recycling center where materials can be processed for the <br />marketplace. <br />Residential Dwelling Unit Any eligible, occupied single-family dwelling, duplex, triplex or <br />(RDU) fourplex within the City occupied by a person or group of persons. <br />A RDU shall be deemed occupied when water is being supplied <br />thereto. <br />Source Separated Food waste, non -recyclable papers, house plants, and other <br />Organics (SSO) household organics designated by the City that, once separated <br />by residents, may be recovered for composting or other forms <br />of organics recovery. SSO does not include yard waste for <br />purposes of this Contract. <br />Steel Cans Metal containers fabricated primarily of steel and/or tin used to <br />contain food or beverages. <br />Walk-up The collection of household waste and recyclable materials at a <br />Collection RDU at a point close to the dwelling unit, in lieu of curbside <br />collection, for producers or occupants who have a documented <br />physical infirmity and when there is not a person living in the <br />dwelling that is able to move wastes to the curb. <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MN <br />CONTRACT FOR THE COLLECTION OF RESIDENTIAL RECYCLABLE MATERIALS Page 6 <br />
